Dr. Clayton Kazan  |  Medical Director  Los Angeles County Fire Department

Dr. Clayton Kazan got his start in medicine as an EMT while he was an undergraduate student at UCLA in 1994. He worked for UCLA EMS, a division of the UCLA police department, and he also worked as an EMT skills instructor and dispatcher. Dr. Kazan went on to medical school at the Chicago Medical School and internship at the University of Hawaii before returning to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine at UCLA and Olive View-UCLA. He is board certified in both emergency medicine and EMS and has held a variety of EMS positions across Los Angeles County.

Since 2015, he has been the Medical Director of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and he is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at UCLA and an attending emergency physician at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance.
