Webinar Description

During this webinar, we will give an overview of how HealthPartners made the journey from being victims of a sentinel event to implementing workplace violence data collection through our ePCRs. After one of our ambulances was shot multiple times while fueling at a gas station, we harnessed the angst of our staff to develop a way to track instances of workplace violence using our ePCRs.

While this practice is not new, using our robust – and efficient – CQI/Pre-Bill Review cycle, we can identify when our staff reported instances of workplace violence within hours. With this tool and process, we can quickly connect our staff to resources they may need and submit the appropriate organizational form or report.

On a regional level, we’ll discuss the conversations happening in our metropolitan area surrounding finding creative ways to accurately document workplace violence our EMS crews experience.
