Terrell Buckson is an emergency medical services (EMS) professional with more than 20 years in the health care industry. He currently serves as Director of Licensure and Certification at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS)—an independent state government regulatory agency that manages all aspects of EMS in Maryland. Terrell is responsible for managing licensure/certification activities (e.g., license issuance, program approval, compliance, etc.) for over 18,000 EMS clinicians. Prior to his tenure at MIEMSS, he served the citizens of Baltimore for nine years as a Paramedic with the Baltimore City Fire Department. Terrell received his B.S. degree in Health Systems Management from the University of Baltimore, and a M.S. degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He enjoy cooking and reading, has humbly served as an ordained minister, and recently completed a manuscript on employee relations and customer care.
