Allina Health EMS has implemented a wide variety of wellness resources to increase support for employees, and will share an overview of their wellness resource offerings during this webinar. They have also conducted quantitative assessments of professional burnout and other wellbeing indicators using validated survey instruments and will share data from recent wellbeing surveys.

About the Presenter

Lori Boland  Principal Research Scientist, Allina Health EMS

Lori Boland is a clinical epidemiologist who currently serves as a Principal Research Scientist for Allina Health EMS in the Twin Cities. Her primary research interests are prehospital, emergency, and critical care medicine. She began her research career in the Division of Epidemiology at the University of Minnesota where she worked for ten years analyzing and publishing data from several large, NIH-funded multi-center cardiovascular disease cohort studies.

In past roles at Allina Health, she has conducted emergency medicine and critical care research in collaboration with physicians at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Lori completed bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and German language and literature at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and earned an MPH in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. In her spare time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and watching her four children play ice hockey.
